On Monday afternoon Y2 had lots of fun dancing in the hall doing their NSPCC fundraiser challenge! Y2 danced for 30 minutes to raise money for the NSPCC. Everyone had a great time dancing and singing along to the music!
Hedgehog Class enjoyed their trip to the Synagogue this week. The children particularly enjoyed using the Yad to follow the script in the Torah from right to left, they noticed that this was different to the way that we read at school. We look forward to making and tasting our own challah bread next week in school.
Year 1 loved their day off timetable this week to create Great Fire of London artwork. They had a go at marbelling, drawing, painting and junk modelling. Some children also used followed a paper template to make a 3D house. Please see the website “Gallery” page for more pictures.
We had a very exciting guest in our assembly this morning – Strider! Our school is now part of a challenge to encourage children and families to walk to school. The children will log how they get to school on a daily basis and each month they have the opportunity to win badges.
The children of Manby Lodge enjoyed The Snow Queen Christmas Panto. They particularly enjoyed singing the song that ended “…but most of all, we all love Manby Lodge!”
Year 1 loved having their grown ups in to help with the Christmas craft morning today. We made a range of different decorations including a pompom sprout, a reindeer cup and a paper plate robin. Thank you to all of the grown ups who gave up their time to help us create a memorable morning, we hope that you enjoyed it as much as we did! Please see the website “Gallery” for more pictures.
Years 1 and 2 had a very special assembly this morning. The winning pictures were unveiled for our Buddy Bus Stops and we saw the colourful new bench. Well done to Ariadne and Rylie who were the competition winners.
We also listened to two fabulous pianists Noah and Isla and met the amazing FoML Co-Chairs Mrs Jarvis and Mrs Camacho. Please see the website “Gallery” for more pictures.
