The children in Cygnet Class voted for an ‘ice cream parlour’ as their new role play area. They thought of all the things that it would need, including different flavours of ice cream, cones, chocolate sauce and menus, and helped find or make them all. Now it has been set up the children have enjoyed making and selling ice cream to their friends.
Year 1 are enjoying learning about The Great Fire of London and have produced some stunning artwork!
The Year 2 children really enjoyed performing ‘Lights Camel Action 2’. Thanks to the Year 2 staff for putting the performance together and also to all the parents who provided such wonderful costumes.
It was the final performance yesterday for the Year 1 ‘The Wriggly Nativity’. We are so proud of all the children. Thank you parents, for providing the costumes and well done to the Year 1 staff who ensured the children were ready to perform and had fun while doing so.
Drama Tree performed for the rest of the school and for parents on Monday. We loved seeing their singing and actions and the wide range of songs they performed. The children were animated and used lovely loud voices. Well done to Catherine Steele (Drama Tree Director) and to all children who performed.
The children performed a range of rock and popular songs today. We were so impressed with their singing, timing, musical knowledge of their instruments (drums, keyboard, guitar, base) and their confidence to perform to a large audience. Thank you to Finn for giving the children the skills and assurance to perform so well.
Twenty children from Year 2 visited Cleves School to take part in a Mini Olympics with 7 other local schools. The children had a wonderful time and to their surprise won the whole event.
